For local businesses and organizations, that can mean anything from one personality led short form video to a full social media takeover. We bring content creation, strategy and creative marketing ideas together to show what makes them special and help them build genuine connections with the people right here in their community.
WHY LOCAL CONNECTIONS?
There are so many incredible businesses, events, people and things happening throughout Volusia County, and I found myself constantly wanting to tell people about them.
At the same time, I kept meeting local business owners who wanted exactly that: more opportunities to connect with the people right here in their community.
I realized I naturally loved bringing those two things together.
Local Connections grew from that idea. A place to discover what’s around you, meet the people behind local businesses, find something new to do and support the community along the way.
And we’re just getting started. Because behind every local sign is a person, a purpose and a story worth knowing.

HI, I’M KALIE.
I’m Kalie Luckenbaugh, founder and the face behind Local Connections Volusia. I’m a marketer at heart, a mom of four and naturally curious about the people, places and stories around me.
I love finding out what makes a business special, discovering somewhere I didn’t know existed and being the person who says, “You have to check this out.”
Local Connections Volusia brings together so many things I genuinely love: people, storytelling, marketing and community.
Real estate is also part of my story. I’m a licensed Florida Realtor with Real Broker, LLC, serving Volusia County through my real estate brand, Kalie Has the Keys.
